Momentum West’s 2023 Year in Review: Paving the Way for Progress

A Social Media Campaign for Midwest Youth

In 2023, Momentum West launched a blitz that grabbed the attention of thousands of young adults in the Midwest, with almost 2 million impressions and around 30,000 video views showcasing the region.

Exploring Regional Housing Solutions

Momentum West investigated the feasibility of a regional housing cooperative focused on providing potential solutions in the area. Housing and DEI/workforce conferences also brought diverse voices to the table, promoting inclusivity and innovation.

Preparing Future Leaders

Education is the key to a brighter future, and Momentum West knows it. Collaborating with higher education institutions, they paved the way for high school students. Through partnerships with CESA and Vision Northwest, the focus remains on creating meaningful career paths for tomorrow’s leaders.

Celebrating Success at the Annual Meeting

Momentum West’s annual meeting helped showcase the region’s economic development achievements, recognizing the hard work of individuals and organizations that played vital roles in driving progress.

Appreciation and Recognition

Thanks to Rob Kreibich, CEO of the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the 2023 board chair, for his dedication and service. Further appreciation also goes to Rick Geisen and Pete Koenig for their years of service on the board, and we welcome Donna Walker and George Brewe, the new board members, who contribute their expertise.

Steering into 2024: A Visionary Roadmap

Under the leadership of UW Stout Chancellor Katherine Frank and Timm Sandstrom from RCU, Momentum West looks forward to the adventures of 2024. Here’s a glimpse into the roadmap:

• Attraction Videos: Production of two new attraction videos featuring our higher education institutions, focusing on UW Eau Claire, UW Stout, and UW River Falls, and one on CVTC and Northwood Technical College.
• Digital Marketing: Rolling out materials to attract talent and businesses, spotlighting each county.
• Tackling Housing Challenges: Focusing on each county’s regional housing cooperative, housing toolkits, and conferences on housing and workforce.
