New Grant Aimed at Training Students for Sustainable Jobs

The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced today a new grant opportunity aimed at increasing economic opportunity for students in Southeastern Wisconsin school districts. The Regional Career and Education Equipment Program grant provides career and technical education equipment to encourage innovative solutions that address the state's skilled worker shortage.
Districts in Kenosha, Racine, Walworth, and Milwaukee counties are eligible to apply for $5,000 to $30,000 in funding from the $172,000 grant. Funds can be used for career and technical education training equipment, infrastructure, and renovations.
